By practicing Jiu-Jitsu, your child will be learn how to deal with stressful self defense scenarios in a safe environment. A child's confidence in their physical abilities translates directly into every facet of their lives.
I have been training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu since 2006, while simultaneously working a full time job. During that time I have never had an injury that required surgery, or even the need to take time off of work. There will be bumps and bruises along the way, that is part of engaging in any athletic activity. In my opinion, the rewards greatly outweigh the risks. -Coach Stew
We try to offer a very inclusive environment at A2 Jiu-Jitsu. Some of the basic considerations we ask of our students are:
1-please remove your shoes, before stepping on the mats. This helps keep our dojo clean and sanitary.
2-Trim your fingernails, and toenails, so you do not accidentally scratch your training partners.
3-Treat all of your training partners with respect and dignity. We love to train hard, but at the end of the day, we are all teammates. Our main goal is to help each other get better.
